Aurelian is pleased to share that Principal & Founder Alana Kushnir was a guest speaker at Art & Law 2026, presented by the Law Faculty at the University of Basel in partnership with the Fondation pour le droit de l'art / Art Law Foundation.
The conference took place during Art Basel at the Messe and Congress Center Basel and brought together international speakers working across art, law, ethics, collecting, and the global art market.
Alana presented on “Aboriginal Art in a Global Market: Legal and Ethical Issues”, exploring the legal and ethical challenges that accompany the growing internationalisation of the Aboriginal art market, from questions of provenance and authenticity to cultural authority, market conduct and responsible collecting.
